12 Scrap Layouts DONE

December 29, 2009

On my list for the month of January, although it is still December, I had 12 Scrapbook Layouts as something I wanted to finish. I am well over a year behind and need to catch up. I finished all 12 this week and hopefully will get to do a few more as I finish my other list items.

One reason for my excitement about scrapping and sudden resurge into the scrapbook world is my brand new Cricut!! I am so excited to own one. It’s the cheaper first generation model, but I had a budget (the amount of money and gift cards I had received) and I was more than happy to have the first generation Cricut. It comes with one Cartridge called “George Font” and I have been playing around and seeing what it can do. I really want to find some cheap Cricut cartridges, but they are still going a little high on eBay for the ones I want. High on my list is the Storybook Cartridge and the Life’s a Beach Cartridge.

My 12 pages were all done in my youngest daughter’s book.

The Holidays are OVER!

December 27, 2009

As much as I love Christmas and the giving of gifts, seeing family members, and stuffing my face with enough ham and turkey to sleep for days, I am glad the holidays are over.

I made 90% of the gifts we gave this year and it was exhausting, although well worth it. I am hoping to post some pictures of those items, but many of them I will need to find first LOL

One huge block of time was spent on the amazing 12 Days of Christmas Swap that I did on Craftster. My partner sent me an amazing package and told me that she in turn LOVED hers as well.

Here are a few items I sent her:
Cake Decorating Kit
Photobucket

Christmas Chunky Houses
6 front

My first crochet project ever and I love these guys!
Photobucket

Bento Set complete with snack bags, utensil roll, and carrying bags
2 of day 2

HUGE duffel bag that my sewing machine almost killed me over
1

And that was only some of the package! Such a huge swap but so much fun. I am excited for it next year now 😀

Back Up and Scrapping!

December 13, 2009

The laptop is back up and running and I am so happy!

Although most of my crafty time has been dedicated to Christmas Gifts after finishing the 12 Days of Christmas Swap on Craftster, I have been making an effort to scrapbook. My books are well over a year behind. Eeeek!

Here are a few of my recent faves.
